Too bad, Woman and 7-Year-Old Daughter die In Fire,

  A woman, aged 38 and her seven-year-old daughter were burnt to death by fire which gutted their home.

The deceased woman, identified as Mrs. Elimiyegha Werinipre, was trapped in the fire while trying to rescue her daughter, Elizabeth.

It was gathered that the inferno, which started in the early hours of the day, attracted neighbours who battled in vain to put out the fire.

Though the cause of the inferno could not be immediately ascertained, some neighbours claimed there was an explosion before the fire.
