Reports by WHO States that, the blood from Ebola survivors is now being sold on the black market .This development started after it was revealed the blood of those treated for Ebola can be used to cure those infected.
A third U.S. missionary worker Dr Rick Sacra,(above)who was infected with Ebola in Liberia and flown to the U.S. for medical care was treated with blood transfusions from Dr Kent,an American who recovered from the virus last month.The WHO is vowing to stamp out it the illicit trade because of fears the blood contains other diseases and could backfire if not properly administeredMargaret Chan, director-general of the WHO said:
‘There is a danger that such serums could contain other infections and wouldn’t be administered properly.'
